Television Resolution
First of all there is no one set resolution for TV that works
all the time in any location. Most countries around the world are either part
of the NTSC, PAL, or SECAM systems.
NTSC is used in North and Central America and Japan.
PAL is used in most of Europe, Africa, Australia, and South America.
SECAM is used in France, eastern Europe, and Russia.
Each standard has it's own characteristics:
| System |

| SECAM |

Then just to make things more complicated, different video
formats and editing platforms even under one system use different video resolutions.
